At Caspin Journeys, we have always believed that food is far more than a pleasure — it is identity, memory, landscape and history served on a plate. As the gastronome Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin famously wrote, “Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are.” Nowhere is this truer than in Italy, where recipes are inherited, not invented, and where the kitchen remains the heart of family life.
Our Cooking & Culture journeys are designed to open that world to you — not as spectators, but as participants. As a second-generation, family-run company, we personally craft each itinerary and work closely with trusted local chefs, winemakers, farmers and artisans who welcome us not as clients, but as friends. We prioritise family-run restaurants, boutique local hotels and producers who honour seasonal ingredients and regional traditions. Authenticity matters more to us than spectacle.
In Tuscany, you’ll cook and dine in the countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, discovering the generous, rustic flavours that define central Italy. In Piemonte, the experience becomes more nuanced and refined — celebrated wines, noble ingredients and centuries-old culinary traditions shaped by both Alpine and Mediterranean influences. In each region, the food is inseparable from the culture, the landscape and the people who keep its traditions alive.
These journeys are not about gourmet performance. They are about real kitchens, meaningful encounters and the quiet joy of gathering around a table where stories are shared as generously as the wine. This is culture you can taste — experienced the Caspin way.
With love,
The Caspin Family
This is food as it was meant to be, rooted in local rhythms and simple seasonal ingredients. You’ll share meals infused with heritage — from forest picnics with truffles to dinners in Tuscan village osterias — discovering the deep connection between land, culture and cuisine.
Get your hands in dough, herbs and soil — from pasta and pizza making in a wood-fired oven to workshops with Aboca’s herbal traditions. These are immersive moments where learning and laughter blend with the joys of fresh, authentic Tuscan food.
Discover all about Sangiovese grapes, THE Main Character of Tuscan wines like Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino. Each wine tasting offers insight into traditional wine craft and family traditions, framed by the rolling hills and rustic beauty of the region.
Food has always been at the heart of Simona and Antonio’s story — long before it became a tour.
They met in Plymouth while both studying at university, brought together not only by chance, but by a shared belief that eating well is a way of living well. Very soon, that belief turned into action. Together, they embarked on a small food business adventure, selling extra virgin olive oil from Caroline and Pino’s family farm in Tuscany, homemade jams prepared with fruit from their gardens in Italy, fresh pasta made using organic British flour, and other carefully selected products they truly believed in.
For them, food was never just about taste. It was about knowing where it comes from, who made it, how it was grown, and why it matters. It was about respecting the land, the seasons, and the hands behind every ingredient. That early experience shaped their understanding of quality, authenticity, and the deep connection between food and identity.
Today, their Cooking Tours are an extension of that same passion. They believe that to truly appreciate a place, you must understand its ingredients, its traditions, and the stories behind every dish. Because when you know the origin of what you are eating and cooking, you are not just feeding yourself — you are becoming part of a much bigger story.

Their cooking tours in Italy are a natural continuation of that belief: eat well, cook consciously, and connect deeply with the place you’re in.
