Country Profile: Camino Portuguese
The Camino Portuguese is a fantastic route for travellers who wish to explore Portugal in a unique way, blended with the incredible experience of a Camino.
The Portuguese Camino starts in Lisbon, the countries dazzling capital. From Lisbon the Camino Portuguese takes pilgrims across stunning countryside, villages and towns such as Santarém, one of the last Moorish bastions in Portugal; Coimbra, home to a UNESCO-listed 13th century university; and gorgeous Porto with its colourful river front and home of Port wine.
Terraced field, lush forests, vineyards and peaceful sleepy villages await on the Portuguese way to Santiago de Compostela.
Once you’ve crossed the 19th century International bridge and River Minho, the natural border between Portugal and Spain, you will visit Tui which marks the last 100km to Santiago.
The hotels and destination will be carefully selected to their comfort, character and history. We will cross in and out of the Camino experiencing the best the trail and Portugal have to offer.
We are very excited to be launching this new tour, the itinerary will be live by the end of the year!
