Experience Tuscany through movement, flavour and stillness.

This journey is about slowing down and reconnecting while experiencing the natural beauty of Tuscany.

Wellness here means much more than juice fasts; it is a balance of inner reflection and outer exploration through authentic movement and traditional flavours. Based in an enchanting country farmhouse near the Etruscan walled town of Cortona, you will begin each morning with a gentle yoga practice in the gardens, surrounded by birdsong and soft light. During the day, we head out to explore Tuscany’s rolling hills, medieval villages, and hidden gems. We slow the pace to truly see the region—blending forest bathing and vineyard walks with hands-on traditions like truffle hunting and making pizza in an ancient wood-fired oven.

It is an invitation to breathe deeply, explore widely, and carry the stillness of the landscape home with you.

ITINERARY

Before the tour starts, we recommend you spend a few days in the beautiful city of Florence.

We meet at the local train station and transfer to our beautiful villa near Cortona, your home for the week.

After settling into your room, we gather in the gardens for a gentle introductory flow, tuning into the recharging energy of the Tuscan landscape.

This evening, we enjoy a welcome dinner prepared by our private chef.

Meals: Dinner

We start our day with a yoga session in the garden followed by a delicious fresh breakfast.

Today we head up to a peaceful 12th-century Franciscan hermitage where Saint Francis lived and meditated. From here we explore on foot the surrounding forest including a session of forest bathing, allowing our mind to slow down and connect with the “here and now”.

Coming back to real life – or almost! – we meet with Andrea and his dogs to enjoy a guided truffle hunt in the woods. He will share with us curiosities and insights about his passion for truffles and dogs and the charming landscapes around Cortona.

Lunch is a picnic in the forest.

Back at the villa, our first hands-on cooking class focuses on the art of fresh pasta making.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After our usual morning routine of yoga and breakfast we head to San Sepolcro for a guided tour of the one of a kind Aboca Museum where we learn all about the age old relationship between humans and plants. Here we discover the different medicinal uses of herbs through history, their preservation and extraction techniques.

After the museum we take a walk through the surrounding countryside, following trails through meadows and woodland where many of the wild herbs and plants we’ve just been learning about grow naturally. Lunch is at a local osteria based on fresh and wild herbs and veg.

We return to the Molino in the late afternoon with time to relax before dinner.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After our morning yoga, we lace up our boots and hike through olive groves and rolling countryside to the hilltop town of Cortona. Once there, enjoy free time to discover the medieval streets and artisan shops, and lunch in one of its many renowned restaurants.

In the afternoon, we dive into a pizza-making class, mastering the secrets of authentic dough using the villa’s 16th-century wood-fired oven.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Today we explore Montepulciano, home to the famous Vino Nobile wine. After visiting a local family run estate and learning about their wine making process, we share a guided meditation session among the quiet Sangiovese vines. Lunch will be a picnic under the Tuscan sun with seasonal food and the estates wine.

In the evening, we gather for a cooking class focused on an “Italian All Veg” menu inspired by our organic garden.

 Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

On our final day, after a gentle warming practice, we set out on foot from the villa to trace the historic footsteps of Hannibal, walking across the border from Tuscany into Umbria and toward the shores of Lake Trasimeno. We begin early, reaching a scenic ridge within 40 minutes where a fresh breakfast awaits, paired with stunning panoramic views of the lake.

Upon reaching the shore, a short ferry ride brings us to the quiet and charming Maggiore Island for a traditional fish lunch in the tiny village.

Our final yoga session takes place at sunset, accompanied by a mindful Cacao Ceremony to close our week in a harmonious, reflective way.

We dine at the villa for a celebratory final dinner prepared by our private chef.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We share a final yoga session and breakfast under the portico before our scheduled drop-off at the local train station for your onward journey.

FAQs

Our most popular Questions and Answers about Tuscany and our Small Group Yoga Tours.

This journey is a unique invitation to experience Tuscany through movement, flavour, and stillness. Unlike standard tours, we offer a deep reconnection with nature, blending daily gentle yoga and meditation in quiet gardens with authentic local traditions. You won’t just see the landscape; you will immerse yourself in it through forest bathing, truffle hunting with local experts, and mastering the secrets of fresh pasta and pizza in a 16th-century wood-fired oven. With our private villa as a base for the entire week, you can unpack just once and truly settle into the rhythm of the Tuscan lifestyle.

We meet at 14.00 on Day 1 at the Terontola-Cortona Train Station. This location is easily accessible as it sits on the direct train line connecting both Rome and Florence.

By Air: International travellers should fly into Florence (FLR) or Rome Fiumicino (FCO). From these cities, you can take a direct train to the Terontola-Cortona station, making the transfer to our meeting point straightforward and easy. Use trenitalia.it if you want to book train tickets in advance.

We highly recommend spending some time in Florence before the tour begins, to adjust to the time zone and explore the “birthplace of the Renaissance”.

  • What to See: Do not miss the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), the Uffizi Gallery for world-class Renaissance art, and the Galleria dell’Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David.

This tour is rated as Leisurely. It is designed for those who enjoy gentle movement rather than strenuous hiking. Our activities focus on scenic strolls, forest bathing sessions, and vineyard walks that generally last between 1 to 3 hours. The terrain includes soft forest paths, vineyard tracks, and the medieval cobblestone streets of hill towns like Cortona and Montepulciano. While the pace is relaxed, we recommend being comfortable on your feet for light daily exploration.

Food on this tour is a celebratory balance of traditional flavours and healthy, fresh ingredients. You will enjoy a welcome dinner prepared by our private chef and participate in hands-on cooking classes focusing on the art of fresh pasta and authentic pizza. Highlights include a truffle-themed forest picnic, a unique Etruscan-inspired meal, and an “Italian All Veg” menu featuring organic produce from our own garden. We also enjoy fresh lunches at local osterias and tastings of the famous Vino Nobile wines.

We stay at Molino di Bordone, a traditional, high-quality country farmhouse. This beautifully restored watermill is set in the heart of Tuscany’s olive groves and serves as our private base for the week. This allows you to relax and unpack just once and truly enjoy your new home for the week

We schedule our tours to take advantage of the most temperate seasons. In Spring, the hills of the Val d’Orcia are incredibly lush and green, with mild temperatures perfect for exploring. In Autumn, you can experience the harvest season, which offers crisp air, vibrant colours, and the ideal time to sample fresh olive oils and truffles.

While this is a wellness-focused tour, sturdy walking shoes or light hiking boots are essential for our forest walks and exploring medieval hill towns. For our daily yoga, please bring comfortable yoga or gym attire; we provide yoga mats and props at the villa. We recommend a layering system (t-shirts, a light jumper, and a waterproof jacket) to adapt to the soft morning light and cooler evenings. For dinner, smart casual dress is perfect for enjoying our evening meals under the portico
