Practical based small group workshops
All tuition is on location and very much hands-on. Our group workshops have a maximum of eight to ten participants, and with two tutors you are always assured of dedicated attention and help as and when you need it.

Our landscape photography workshops take in some of the most varied and stunning scenery in the UK. We currently offer photography courses in Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, Dorset, the Lake District, Northumberland, the North Yorkshire coast, South Wales, the Peak District, Exmoor and Westonbirt Arboretum. All our locations are carefully researched and chosen for their photographic potential to both challenge and inspire you.

What will I learn?
The main aspects of landscape photography will be covered, including:
- Working with light – the vital role that light plays in landscape photography
- ‘Finding’ the image – pre-visualisation, composition, lens choice
- Use of semi auto and manual settings
- The relationship between shutter, aperture and ISO
- Depth of field and focusing
- Understanding exposure and use of the histogram
- Use of appropriate filters where required
- Understanding white balance and colour temperature

Our gourmet cooking classes take place at Molino di Bordone, among the Tuscan and Umbrian hills, only minutes from the beautiful Etruscan walled town of Cortona.
The Palio di Siena horse race is celebrated twice a year in the Campo (Siena’s historical square), on 2nd July and 16th August in honour of the religious feast days of the Visitation and Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Lady and Patron Protector of the City.
