Photography in Tuscany
If an area could have been created specifically for the delight of photographers this would surely be it. Tuscany is rich in beauty and charm. Silvery olive groves, vines stretching far into the distance and softly undulating hills painted with light never fail to captivate the eye.

Imagine the sight of silvery olive groves, vines stretching far into the distance and softly undulating hills painted with light. Tuscany conjures up images of quintessential cypress trees, atmospheric walled towns, cobbled streets and ancient castle ruins. Let your eye wander through quiet unspoilt villages or simply sit, and drink in the view of a sweeping landscape.

Experience the variety of southern Tuscany and explore the stunning valley of the Val D’Orcia, one of UNESCO’s World Cultural Landscapes and an area of unrivaled beauty. Characterised by gentle hills and picturesque towns and villages, here we travel the country lanes and explore the winding streets of the tiny walled village of Monticchiello and the charming hilltop town of Montalcino. Capture the magnificent Renaissance architecture in Montepulciano and the timeless Romanesque abbey of Sant’Antimo. The alleys of Pienza, an architectural jewel the setting for the well known film, ‘The English Patient’ are also on our list. The landscape views at Terrapille, made famous in ‘Gladiator’ are a must for the photographer, as are the elegant cypress line avenues.
Our travels will take us on a spectacular drive through the eroding landscape known as the Crete Senesi, with it’s distinctive ‘lunar’ appearance. Here lies the serene fourteenth century Benedictine monastery of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, overlooking far reaching vistas. We also explore off the beaten track locations where many a characteristic old barn or farmhouse can be found.
